Our Sensibilities
Most people don't stop to think that Law Enforcement Professionals have challenges like others. They get rejected, paid below value, and stereotyped just like others. They respond to constant requests, from work and home, for support, problem solving and comforting. Now, they even get asked to leave a public place because of their service weapons. Crazy. All lives matter. Appreciation and respect go a long way.
Our Sacrifices
There are clear sacrifices LE makes such as death by vehicle accidents or being shot, stabbed or ambushed. There is also a daily sacrifice of the spirit, mind and body when you are constantly faced with the negatives of society. Hope and belief in humanity can be sacrificed without a counter measure of positive experiences. Often times the LE Professional is in need of help, even when they refuse to acknowledge the need.
